Revolution Winter & Bart Records
News - Nov 2011

Lots of stuff coming up on the Bart front. First off, we’ve got BART026 hot on deck. After the recent split with Todos Caeran, Edmonton’s Mahria have their first tape ready to go. Tapes are at the plant now, and if everything goes right we’ll have these for their Calgary show on the 19th.

At the same time, BART027 should be hot on their heels. The first release from the Calgary band Sissys. Featuring Daryll formerly from Grown-Ups, and it’s got all that great baritone heaviness that was a Grown-ups highlight. Check out some jams on bandcamp.

We thought Auld Beak were done, considering they all live in different cities, but they’re doing one more Alberta tour to set the record straight that they’re one of the prairies’ best. Check the Beatroute article here and make sure to listen to THIS DUDE as he tells you all about the show with Stalwart Sons in Calgary!

The Town Ship record is hot stuff. They’ll be doing an official release show for it in Toronto soon. And check out this review in FFWD to see just how good this record is.

The amazing people at Slept on the Floor did an interview with me asking questions about the labels and Stalwart Sons. I highly recommend going through those interviews, they cover some of the best stuff around, including other interviews with other Bart/REWIN alumnus Book of Caverns and Todos Caeran. They’re the best.

There is also a brand new Revolution Winter online store we just put up. You can still order directly from me if you email (and, frankly, I do prefer to hear for you personally), but now we have some sort of feigned legitimacy with the online store.

Stay cold, everyone.
